It's that time of year again, folks. Don't let the big numbers overwhelm you, though; remember to stick to the Standard Steam Sale procedure as outlined by Ellen at Kotaku:

1. Is the game you want on Daily Deal, Flash Deal or Community Deal? If so, buy it.
2. If it is not, but is reduced, wait to buy it. If it comes up on Daily, Flash or Community Deal, buy it.
3. If by the last day of the sales, the game you want is not on any such deals, buy it at the general discount price.

Save yourself the agony of buying something only to find it on sale the next day. Shop smart, be Steam Smart.
